PANDORA is a certified member of the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC), an international non-profit organisation that aims to reinforce consumer and stakeholder confidence in jewellery products. We perceive RJC to be the most ambitious CSR initiative within the jewellery industry, dedicated to translating the generic UN Global Compact principles into responsible business conduct within the jewellery supply chain. As a RJC member, PANDORA is subject to the “RJC Complaints Mechanism” established to ensure fair, timely and objective resolution of stakeholder complaints relating to potential non-conformance with the RJC Code of Practices.
RJC is member of ISEAL Alliance: a global association working to enhance sustainability standards across industries and sectors. ISEAL members including the Fairtrade Labelling Organizations (FLO), Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC), Rainforest Alliance, Social Accountability International and the Responsible Jewellery Council are all leaders within their fields, committed to creating solid and credible certification systems that give business, governments and consumers the ability to choose products that have been responsibly produced.
The standards are developed by The RJC Standards Committee, which consists of companies from the jewellery industry but also includes experts and civil society organisations. PANDORA assumes the role as industry chair of the Standards Setting Committee and has a seat on the RJC Executive Committee.
