PANDORA began manufacturing jewellery in Thailand in 1989 when Per Enevoldsen, PANDORA’s founder and a goldsmith by trade, set up the foundation for the company’s crafting facilities.
In 2003, PANDORA moved the crafting facilities to the Gemopolis industrial estate on the outskirts of Bangkok, and we opened our first large scale, four-storey, fully-owned crafting facility here in 2005. In 2008, a second manufacturing facility was opened in the same area, followed by more facilities over the years, including our Innovation Centre in 2013. Key to product development, the Innovation Centre is where design, scientific research and technical development come together in a state-of-the-art facility.
One of the world’s largest jewellery exporting countries, Thailand has a long tradition of high-quality jewellery production. Here, PANDORA benefits from a strong infrastructure, easy access to raw material suppliers and, most importantly, high-quality craftsmanship by a skilled, passionate workforce.
ABOUT OUR TEAM
Today, PANDORA Production Thailand (PPT) employs around 12,000 staff, the majority of whom work on crafting jewellery. Bringing PANDORA's high-quality, modern, genuine jewellery products to life in a cost-effective, fast-to-market way requires the combined contributions of a highly professional team.
With a diverse set of skills and expertise that span managerial, finance, human resources, engineering, IT, design, materials management, quality and other key business support functions, our team works closely with key stakeholders internationally to perform at world-class standards.
At PPT, we are committed to providing good working conditions, attractive employment terms, as well as opportunities to develop and make a real difference to the PANDORA business.
Our crafting facilities are covered by our Group-wide certification by the Responsible Jewellery Council, and our core management systems are regularly independently audited and validated as compliant with ISO 9001 (quality), OHSAS 18001 (health and safety) and ISO 14001 (environment).
PPT employees enjoy competitive compensation packages, health insurance, a provident fund and other core benefits. We also place great emphasis on creating a work environment that offers team members valuable social, health and educational benefits. These include our Organisational Learning & Development and Communication initiatives, which have been recognised as leading-edge within Thailand and cited as a best practice case study within South East Asia.
Another vital element is our Edutainment Centre, which features an Internet room and library and provides an inspiring and comfortable space for our colleagues to learn, develop their skills and relax during breaks and before or after work. In addition, we enjoy a wide range of other social activities and initiatives, including sports clubs, a savings club, a welfare shop and many more.
