About the ROLE

Reporting to the Merchandise Planning & Procurement Manager, the Demand Planner is responsible for item level forecasting and managing inventory of consumables materials for AUS/NZ market. This role is focused on ensuring accurate forecasting and alignment to submitted budgets and collaborating with the Merchandising team, other business functions and demand planning colleagues globally, to meet set objectives.

More specifically, the Demand Planner will:

  • Maintain statistical forecasts in supply chain management software 
  • Conduct comprehensive monthly reviews of item forecasts in response to trends
  • Collaborate with merchandise, sales and marketing teams to forecast new products, promotions, events
  • Review and research historical sales trends, demand drivers, promotional performance and implement or recommend actions
  • Identify and address root causes of key forecast misses 
  • Produce and analyse regular reporting relating to sales, demand and inventory
  • Work with colleagues to provide input into global and local demand planning processes
  • Purchase locally sourced items
  • Manage campaign disposal process, working closely with the Warehouse Manager
  • Work on Store replenishment plans and order placement


About YOU

The ideal candidate will have strong commercial acumen, be resourceful and responsive to trading conditions as well as possessing a strong work ethic, dedication to achieving KPIs and the ability to build strong partner relationships.

You will have:

  • Proficient experience with Supply Chain Managment software (Logility, SAP, JDA or similar)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Ideally a strong background in FMCG
  • Tertiary qualifications in Logistics, Supply Chain or Finance is highly desirable
  • An understanding of financial impact of forecasting
  • A proven track record around results driven demand planning
  • Superior commercial acumen and strong desire to drive performance results within a collaborative environment
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills 
  • Relevant experience working in a comparable position, preferably a fashion accessories, jewellery and apparel environment
