License and cloud Subscription Manager

PANDORA, Global IT is looking for an experienced License Manager to support our global license management function. The role is focusing on our global license and cloud usage. The position is part of providing a consolidated service to a global business.

Job Description:
You will be based in Copenhagen and join one of Denmark’s most successful and fast-moving companies. The License Manager is responsible for managing all available software/licenses . Moreover, he/she is interacting closely with the IT organization and our key suppliers to ensure an excellent service in combination with alignment to the IT- and business strategy. Compliance with legislations and organizational policies are of cause key. You will be a part of the Vendor Management team, which is a sub-department to IT Planning within Global IT. You will be the key person in PANDORA responsible for Licensing and cloud usage, which gives you a lot of responsibility but also many opportunities to influence our IT operations, projects and architecture. This is done in close corporation with relevant teams. The business moves more and more towards cloud-solutions thus, you have relevant experience within this field. As part of the Vendor Management team you also preferably have experience in general in contract and vendor management disciplines.
Key tasks:
  • Define the strategic direction of license management and cloud usage and ensure that the value add is understood by all stakeholders and used optimal from a cost point of view.
  • Develop and implement license management processes with suppliers and in projects.
  • Drive the professionalization and optimization of license management.
  • Responsible  for planning, monitoring, recording and reporting software license to ensure compliant and optimal use of both licenses and cloud subscriptions.
  • Collect data from relevant parties to monitor supplier performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. 
  • Demonstrated capability in implementing Hardware and Software Asset Management frameworks and related software tooling (ServiceNow, SNOW).
  • Reporting and dashboarding.

Main responsibilities: 
  • Implement and maintain global license management and cloud framework in PANDORA, including processes and policies.
  • Plan, monitor and control resources to maximize the efficient and effective use of Software Licenses in order to ensure that PANDORA is compliant and in sync with our vendors.
  • Provide support and guidance as subject matter expert in the organization, to inform and influence the business toward best practice and cost effective license and cloud coverage.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable license regulations; maintain all necessary license and subscription records.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders and forecast all license cost and resolve all complex issues, regarding this, with help from legal and finance teams. 
  • Analyze and recommend improvements towards standardization with Enterprise Architects.
  • Initiate harvesting un-used software.
  • Ensure suppliers live up to agreed KPI’s, SLA’ and compliance regarding software.

Cross platform:
  • Work with Procurement for optimizing procurement and price setting.
  • Work with stakeholders in general as SME across the entire IT organization internally as well as external suppliers.

Additional information:
Travel will be expected on a low level of 5-15 days per year.

Professional qualifications: 
  • Relevant educational background.
  • Experience from IT operations.
  • Technical flair with high skills in Power BI, Excel and number crunching.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience within license management and cloud services.
  • Strong skills on communication and collaboration in global companies including presentation to management stakeholders.
  • Strong language skills in English, both orally and written.
  • Experiences with IT/License audits.
  • Demonstrated knowledge about license structures of major vendors, including Microsoft and Adobe. 
  • Expert level knowledge on Microsoft suite including AX, O365 and Azure the finance aspect of cloud subscriptions.
