Deliver cutting edge financial business partnering solutions 
Last year, Pandora embarked on a very exciting journey, introducing two Global Business Units (GBUs) at the heart of a new organisational structure. The aim was to ensure a more consumer centric product strategy with clear consumer facing collections. This will enable consumers to better understand and discover Pandora’s full offering, and for us to better drive sustainable growth through a more cohesive and consumer centric foundation. 

To accelerate our two Global Business Units with a revenue of more than DKK 20bn and to ensure maximum impact of our annual +DKK 3bn marketing investments, we are looking for a strong finance professional who is eager to be part of building this crucial GBU finance area. You will be part of a very capable team to deliver cutting edge financial business partnering solutions, and we need your expertise to support in driving the agenda towards our colleagues. By joining our Global Business Finance department, you will enable our GBU and wider marketing organisation to make enlightened decisions and support our growth journey. Some of your critical tasks include: 

  • Be a great business partner both towards the GBU organisation and within finance
  • Participate in the establishment of clear planning and budget processes between GBU, wider marketing and finance
  • Establish and maintain insightful performance management by collection, including; 
    • Support business in long- and short term forecasting and budgeting of collections and marketing spend
    • Develop and maintain standardised product performance reports to drive better decision making in the business 
    • Root cause analyses on product performance 
  • Support in business case development of new product initiatives
  • Partner on the Collaborations portfolio: Currently a DKK +1bn business with Disney, Harry Potter and Star Wars as partners, however, we want to build it further
    • Support with insights on individual collaborations and their performance
    • Support with financial expertise in negotiations with new partners
    • Track and ensure compliance to contractual agreements
    • Support in business case development of new collaborations
    • Ensure cross-functional processes are well defined

You are expected to take strong personal ownership and as part of the team to drive best practices on reporting, planning, business case development etc. You are ‘fluent’ in deep dive analyses and thrive in digging into the numbers to understand root causes. You furthermore get energised to suggest corrective actions and take pride in improving business performance.

Your new team
You will be part of Global Business Finance, a large multi-cultural finance department of more than 100 professionals. The purpose of this function is to ensure strong financial management of the Global functions and strengthened commercial finance support of CMO, CDO, CPO, CIO, CTO, CHRO, and CSO, including Manufacturing in Thailand. You will report to the Finance Director of Marketing and GBUs together with 4 talented colleagues and will be part of a larger team of today 10 people, all supporting CXOs. Our whole team works closely together on parallel tasks, we help each other when needed and we enjoy an informal, caring and humorous environment with respect for each other as individuals.

Strong business acumen and functional insights into product and marketing

Succeeding in this role requires a combination of strong business acumen, business finance, functional insights or interest into product and marketing, as well as partnering and communication skills. Your energy level is high and you are eager to drive a global agenda with your “One Global Team” mindset. Adding to that, you understand strategic development, functional priorities and you have and can demonstrate: 

  • Eagerness to learn and enjoy a steep learning curve
  • Ability to connect the dots between financial performance and business challenges
  • Strong analytical skills and a strong attention to details
    • Expert Excel knowledge required
    • HFM experience a plus
  • Ideally, experience from branded consumer goods, retail, fashion and/or FMCG industry
  • A Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or similar
  • Fluency in English with strong and effective communication skills – both verbally and in writing
  • 2-5 years of work experience within finance in a bigger company

Additional information: 

This is a full time position reporting to our Legal Business Partner for Marketing, Collaborations & Sustainability.

This role is based in our Global Office in Copenhagen. For an applicant based elsewhere than Copenhagen, relocation will be required.
