  • Responsible for the day to day store operations and ensuring appropriate delegation of responsibilities when absent
  • Establishing and promoting a good working environment to maintain employee morale and motivation in order to minimize staff turnover
  • Effectively train new staff and follow up on an ongoing basis to ensure staff adhere to policies and procedures and the continual correct information and demonstration is given in order to drive sales
  • To participate in day to day customer service alongside the sales assistants
  • To manage, guide, motivate and support the ASM and supervisors creating an effective working partnership
  • To conduct staff annual appraisals for all staff and establish and maintain regular progress and performance reviews
  • The planning, communication and day to day management of the staff rota to ensure appropriate staffing levels at all times especially during peck trading periods
  • To effectively communicate details for all new product ranges ensuring the necessary training in both sales information and demonstration techniques is provided
  • Ensure that all staff dress and conduct meets required company standards, including wearing of company approved jewellery combinations
  • To actively increase the sale of jewellery with specific emphasis on establishing sustainable growth in areas other than charm, using appropriate sales information and demonstration techniques
  • Ensure when appropriate, all staff data-capture customer details for the in-house database
  • The effective management of stock control to maintain correct stock levels including deliveries and querying discrepancies
  • Ensure a high level of cleanliness and hygiene across all areas of the store
  • All customer complaints are dealt with quickly and effectively, promoting best practice in service excellence
