By engaging in external partnerships, PANDORA gains valuable insights into critical factors that shape our business environment and sustainability performance, such as legislation, industry dynamics, mining practices, marketing ethics, and stakeholder and consumer expectations. Activities include engagement with the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC), active membership of the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), strategic business partnerships, community engagement at our Thai crafting facilities, support for charitable organisations, and daily dialogue with the millions of consumers who connect with us on our social media platforms. An overarching principle for PANDORA’s engagement in multistakeholder initiatives is not just to act as an ordinary participant, but to assume leadership and be an active part of shaping the content of these initiatives, always striving to create shared value for all stakeholders involved.

Like PANDORA, our strategic partners, such as Disney and Signet, also have strict ethical requirements of their business partners. This means that our crafting facilities in Thailand, as well as relevant suppliers and subcontractors are subject to audits and approvals by these partners before a final business contract can be signed, and are subject to frequent audits hereafter.
