PR and Communications Specialist

The PR and Communications Specialist will provide strategic
planning and direction relating to the Marketing and Communications for PANDORA
Canada.  The role is responsible for
re-enforcing the Brand, developing and implementing the Brand strategy, and all
external and internal communications as work directly with key fashion
influencers, media and blogger.  The Public
Relations & Communications Specialist will ensure all communication and
brand messaging aligns with PANDORA regional and global guidelines. 

Responsibilities include:

Branding and Marketing:   The successful candidate will devise the PR and Communication strategies with the Marketing Director to maximize PANDORA Brand in the Canadian market in both English and French while promoting the website and creating compelling print and electronic communication, content and event materials to drive retail store traffic in both languages. Leading relationship with PR Agency for Canadian market and managing PR Budget for Canada.

External Communication:  Leads the development and management of PANDORA’S external communications including directing strategic media relations, social media, projects and events for key stakeholder relations and working closely with our agency partner for French and English market. Represents PANDORA Canada on key external communications committees.

Internal Communication:  Directs development, implementation and evaluation of multi-year communications strategies and plans in order to influence and coordinate internal communications. Creates awareness and consistency of key messages and brand identity. Provides advice and expertise on wide range of communications to respond to the changing needs of internal stakeholders.

Events and Brand Activations:    Manage and implement the National Event and sponsorship plan including tracking and updating sales collaterals, contracts, finance documentation and materials inventory. Supports the Regional Sales Team and Franchisees with local events.  Prospect and cultivate new relationships in the business sector with a focus on securing new sponsorship revenue and creating partnerships. Build non-event opportunities using a variety of recognition and visibility marketing products to drive additional sponsorship revenue. Management of Nonprofit and Charitable Organization partnerships in Canada.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree or Master’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience

  • Specialized knowledge required in the principles and practices of public relations, marketing, social media, design, communications, publishing and print applications.

  • Excellent analytical skills related to policy, budget and operational issues.

  • Full range of experience in administrative planning and management including ongoing operations, teambuilding and communications techniques in change management.

  • Develop the PR plan and evaluate strategic marketing and communications plans.

  • Demonstrated superior understanding of a complex, multi-stakeholder environment and sensitivity to issues of diversity of the population in the Canadian Market.

  • Superior written and verbal communications skills, including public speaking.

  • Proven ability to manage complex crises and issues in the media.

  • Proven analytical and financial acumen combined with creativity and imagination in adapting to changing circumstances and priorities.

  • Excellent conflict resolution skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to work cohesively with a wide-range of constituents: staff, sales team, franchisees, media, business and industry representatives, bloggers and fashion influencers, joint partners, suppliers, the general public with proven leadership skills, articulate communication to establish integrated marketing and communications strategies.

  • Act as Canada Brand ambassador, ensuring our Global brand DNA, vision and mission are upheld in the market. 

  • Strong knowledge of the Canadian retail environment and media contacts is an asset.

  • Computer Skills:   Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite including Word, Powerpoint and Excel.

  • Bilingual (English and French) is an asset

  • Flexibility to travel is required
