Pandora is looking for an experienced and skilled Head of Finance to help start up a new team focused on the Spanish market and realize the company’s vision as well as achieving the strategic goals. The role will be based in the city of Madrid and report directly to the Country Manager in Spain.
The role will be overall responsible for budgeting, planning, analyzing and reporting on the financial activities for the local Market in order to provide timely, relevant and accurate data analysis.
 
You will also be responsible for supporting the business through a financial and commercial mind-set, and actively collaborate with functions outside of finance to focus on the business and value drivers. Additional you will have a close operational and supporting role towards the Country Manager and the Southern Europe Finance Team. Building business plans and defining ways to identify business risks and opportunities will also an important focus in this role as well as constantly challenging the figures of growth and profitability across markets to ensure that the financial targets are met.
It is essential to have solid finance experience with a retailing perspective of the FMCG business within the country, as you will be responsible for managing the Financial Planning & Analysis relationship with the Southern Europe Cluster.

MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

FINANCIAL ANALYSIS AND REPORTING
  • Lead the month-end review process (financial results, key operational metrics, trending, etc.)
  • Production of annual Budgets, quarterly Forecasts and high quality financial analysis
  • Manage all periodic reporting submissions (network development, sell-out & inventory performance, etc.)
  • Clarify business drivers, risks & dependencies
  • Financial support when opening new stores
 
BUSINESS CASE
  • Prepare and forward only the business cases and CAPEX requests which exceed Group minimum performance requirements
  • Develop commercially viable business cases that align with business objectives
 
BUSINESS PARTNERSHIP
  • Understand the business drivers, local economic conditions, and current performance compared to targets.
  • Develop fact based, actionable recommendations on strategy, sales & operations to the executive team

As Pandora is an international company approximately 20 % travel is to be expected.   
 
PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • Good knowledge of MS AX
  • Fluent in English and Spanish
  • Hyperion, consolidation and planning tools useful
  • Mastery of MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Experienced in IFRS accounting standards
  • Solid knowledge of tax, legal and compliance requirements for Spain
  • A positive leader
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload, handle stress, maintain positive energy
  • High level of attention to detail without losing the big picture
  • Be confident, a self-starter, with the ability to operate in a dynamic environment
  • Have excellent communication skills and have the ability to liaise with both finance and non-finance individuals

The ideal candidate has several years of progressive financial management experience with a solid background in international FMCG and/or Retailing experience, preferably in a listed company.
