Pandora is looking for an experienced MERCHANDISE PLANNER for the amazing Spanish market. In this role you will be responsible for the implementation, management and development of analysis’ processes of Pandora Products’ categories considering market’s trends, consumers and competitors, in order to support the local management in the definition and implementation of accurate commercial strategies and guarantee stores’ profitability and products’ availability. Validate how much will each product & store contribute to your financial sales targets (merchandise financial planning) and which products are needed in product development to meet the sales budget.
The MERCHANDISE PLANNER will be reporting into the Head of Merchandising and the role is based in Madrid, Spain.

 

 
MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
 
MERCHANDISING PLANNING
 
  • Define Concept Stores and own Store sales out forecast
  • Define Sales forecast by Product Category & sub-category, by metals, price point,  new product introduction vs existing and Collection
  • Store grading
  • Planning of local product assortments for all distribution channels within the market
  • Define breadth and depth of assortments
  • Opening Store packs and assortments
  • Validate the assortment plan and replenishment algorithms
  • Ensure the integrity category, i.e. that the selection of styles represents the desired pricing strategy and architecture and metal mix
  • Planning of sell-in incentives and sales out promotions
  • Perform activities requested by global category managers, e.g. category evaluations, global promotion support, and developing category strategies
  • Define and monitor product turn targets and margins
  • Review and analysis on prices
  • Cooperate with Local demand planner and local sales organisation
 
ANALYSIS
 
  • Product category analysis on performance to track the trend vs planned (sell-out, sell through, weeks of coverage, turns, product categories, seasonality, stock, best sellers and slow movers, new product introduction)
  • New product introduction analysis and forecast in liaise with demand planners
  • Historic like for like & stock turn analysis for setting sales targets, including adjustments due to marketing
  • Conduct store clustering
  • Monitor in-store profitability and turn
 
PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS
 
  • High Mastery of Excel & Planning tools
  • Fluent in English and Spanish
  • Ability in merchandise planning and inventory management
  • Demonstrable project management expertise
  • Sound working knowledge of business systems and data mining
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Detail oriented without losing the big picture
  • Proactivity and curiosity, can-do attitude
  • Great interpersonal skills and ability to communicate
