Business Controller - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

We are looking for an expert Business Controller who will take full responsibility for all accounting and compliance PANDORA across the UK and Ireland.  The right candidate will be highly analytical with a pro-active, collaborative and ambitious attitude.  Strong prioritisation skills are essential - this person will be responsible for timely completion of all internal and external reporting requirements and maintain robust and efficient controls to satisfy regulatory requirements.   This role is a maternity cover position. 


Key Responsibilities:

Financial Controlling:
Manage the month end process and timelines
Analyse financial and operational performance
Deliver insightful business driven commentary for month end and prepare the monthly Business Performance Review pack and monthly Sales Flash
Provide guidance in liaison with Group Finance for more technical accounting queries 
Support the quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting process
Responsible for IFRS 16 implementation and reconciliation 

SSC Management:
Business touchpoint with the SSC GL, AR and AP teams
Visit the SSC in order to build relationships, streamline processes and gather information on new projects
Prepare quarterly SSC newsletter communicating latest business updates and projects
Liaise with the SSC for audits and year end reporting
Point of escalation for invoice and payment queries

Compliance and Governance:
Identify, monitor, simplify and standardise current business processes
Manage local internal controls and compliance
Liaise with external providers for employee taxes and HMRC compliance
Manage the Internal Control Framework 

Identify value adding investment opportunities within the franchise network and preparation of investment profiles and accounting thereof 
Support the business with ad hoc projects


ACCA or ACA qualified
2-3 years experience in retail business controlling
Highly analytical
Ability to communicate findings in clear, simple and structured manner
Ability to interact with people of all levels and comfortable working in a matrix organisation
Ability to prioritise competing requests
Proactive, collaborative and ambitious attitude
High degree of ownership and engagement with tasks
MS Office literate
Knowledge of financial reporting systems such as Hyperion or SAP
