We are
looking for an international and analytical EMEA Merchandiser to oversee the
merchandising process for each of our 60 countries in Europe, Middle East and
Africa. The new EMEA Merchandiser will play a central role in the EMEA
Merchandising team based in London and will be heavily involved in coaching and
training our markets in best practices.  This role
is a 12 month fixed term contract position.

Key role responsibilities include:

  • Prepare Monday merchandising pack: stock and sales reports and analysis by market
  • Weekly category analysis on baseline and new products with comments to Markets showing high level opportunities
  • Weekly sales analysis: best/worst sellers, core product sales to markets
  • Analyse performance of promotions through the use of sell-in and sell-out data including margin analysis for EMEA
  • Update best sellers report and send to EMEA team
  • Assist the wider team with weekly and seasonal reports for new product introductions
  • Compile Merchandising presentation data for VP of Merchandising, EMEA
  • Own regional assortment database and work with markets to keep this updated
  • Work with Senior Merchandiser Planner to prepare information to markets for all launches, and support the forecast process
  • Own EMEA priorities and manage the clusters through KPI’s performance and analysis

Required competencies for this role include: 

  • Experience of preparing reports, manipulating data and understanding figures
  • Strong fashion/jewellery retail background within a Merchandising Department
  • Experienced and confident in merchandise and retail systems
  • Excellent MS Office skills: advanced Excel (v-lookups and pivot tables) PowerPoint and Word
  • An analytical mindset 
  • Ability to work under pressure and to meet short deadlines
  • High attention to detail
  • Good commercial awareness
  • Excellent communicator and team player
  • Able to use initiative and make recommendations to maximise sales
