United Nations Global Compact

As a leading company within our industry, we are dedicated to play our part and contribute to a more sustainable society.

Pandora is an active member of the United Nations Global Compact, working to advance human rights, working conditions, environmental impact and ethical business practices. By joining the UN Global Compact, we aim to deliver and communicate on our commitment to responsible business practices within a widely accepted and recognisable framework.

Further, we have joined other leading Scandinavian companies in the Global Compact Nordic Network. Here we gain inspiration from peers and share the lessons learnt in our own efforts to strengthen and integrate responsible business practices in Pandora.

While Pandora supports all the UN Sustainable Development Goals, four goals in particular guide our strategy as this is where we can contribute the most.

SDG 5   Gender equality
We are an inclusive brand committed to advancing equality and diversity through e.g. our partnership with UNICEF by funding programmes that support girls’ education and empowerment.
SDG 12
  Responsible consumption and production
Circularity is central to how we design, craft, source and offer our products. E.g. we use recycled metals in our products and the majority of our crafting waste is reused.
SDG 13
  Climate action
We are increasing our climate efforts by committing to become a carbon neutral company and set a carbon emission reduction target in line with the Paris Agreement and the best available science recommendations.
  Decent work and economic growth
Our modern crafting facilities in Thailand provide safe and healthy working conditions for more than 11,000 employees with wage levels and benefits above local jewellery industry average.
