Pandora moves North American headquarters to New York
The new location reinforces U.S. growth as the brand aims to double revenue in the market. With support from NY State, the move will create 133 new full-time jobs in New York City.
Today Pandora, the world’s largest jewellery brand, announces the relocation of its North American headquarters to New York City. The permanent office space will open in early 2023 at 1540 Broadway in Times Square, spanning over 27,000 square feet on the building’s 35th floor.
The location increases global talent attraction and supports Pandora’s long-term growth ambition to increase market share and double revenue in the U.S. compared to 2019 through fuelling brand momentum, enhancing product offerings, driving strategic network expansion, and building out a superior omni-channel journey and fulfilment. Pandora’s U.S. business reached over $1 billion in sales in 2021.
Empire State Development is supporting the $6 million project with up to $1.5 million in performance-based Excelsior Jobs Program tax credits. This includes the creation of 133 new full-time roles across business functions, including sales, merchandising, marketing, finance, human resources, digital and e-commerce, real estate, legal and operations. The mission of Empire State Development is to promote a vigorous and growing state economy, encourage business investment and job creation, and support diverse, prosperous local economies across New York State.
“As Pandora enters our third decade of operation in the U.S. market, a New York headquarters will bolster our long-term growth ambition, with the ability to recruit world class talent and operate in one of the world’s largest commercial markets, says Luciano Rodembusch, President, Pandora North America. “We look forward to establishing this new office with the support of New York State, as we continue to invest in the New York retail industry-at-large.”
In the coming months, Pandora will add three new stores to its nine current locations across Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx. In New York State, Pandora has 26 owned and operated stores, 6 franchised stores, and presently employs nearly 500 retail workers.
The announcement follows news of Pandora’s New York office opening in July 2022, since which a temporary New York office location opened at 1540 Broadway. Pandora’s North American Hub in Baltimore will remain at its 250 W. Pratt Street location through at least 2026, and both the Baltimore corporate office and the brand’s logistics center in Columbia, Maryland remain open and integral to business operations.
Pandora is the world's largest jewellery brand. The company designs, manufactures and markets hand-finished jewellery made from high-quality materials at affordable prices. Pandora jewellery is sold in more than 100 countries through 6,400 points of sale, including more than 2,600 concept stores.
