Low-carbon business
PANDORA'S COMMITMENT
-
Pandora will reduce our greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions 50% by 2030 from a 2019 baseline (Scope 1, 2 and 3). To achieve this Pandora will:
-
Reduce emissions from own operations by at least 90% by 2025, from a 2019 baseline (Scope 1 and 2 marked-based) and purchase 100% renewable electricity.
In 2024, we reached important milestones by achieving both of these targets one year ahead of time.
-
Reduce value chain emissions (Scope 3) through proactive work with suppliers and other stakeholders.
-
Pandora will achieve net zero emissions by 2040 across our value chain.
Both targets have been approved by the Science Based Targets initiative and align with the Paris Agreement and climate science regarding limiting global temperature increases to no more than 1.5⁰ C above pre-industrial levels.
“Addressing climate change is one of the greatest challenges facing the world today, and as a large global company we have an obligation to contribute to the necessary solutions. Responsible business practices such as recycling of materials and waste have always been part of Pandora’s way of operating, and we now commit to ambitious targets to reduce our carbon emissions and help drive sustainability in the jewellery industry”
